Looking for CertInstitute?
CertInstitute appears in older provider lists. We could not verify a current separate official booking route on October 9, 2026. We therefore do not list it as a confirmed additional booking option. Use the current ISTQB provider directory and confirm the organization handling any offer or existing certificate before paying or sharing personal documents.
Member board, provider or delivery platform?
- ISTQB: maintains the certification scheme, syllabi and exam rules. Use the certification directory to choose what to study.
- Member board: represents a country or region and may run exams itself or work with licensed providers. Use the member board directory and country guides for local context.
- Exam provider: arranges a licensed exam route, with its own catalogue and booking terms. ISTQB describes external providers as licensed by one or more member boards for local or international delivery.
- Delivery platform: supplies a testing channel. Pearson VUE appears in several provider routes; its name alone does not identify the certificate issuer or the right programme account.
See the official ISTQB exam provider directory for provider verification. International reach should not be read as freedom from board licensing or a promise of availability in every country.
Choose the route that fits your exam
- Fix the exam first. Match the acronym, syllabus version and prerequisites to your certification guide. A similar title can refer to an older exam.
- Check country and language. Look for your location in the provider’s current booking system. Ask support if residency or location eligibility is unclear.
- Compare delivery. Decide between a test center, remote proctoring or an organized session. Check device, network, ID and room requirements before buying an online exam.
- Compare complete costs and terms. Record currency, tax, voucher validity, appointment availability, cancellation rules and retake terms. Use the exam cost guide for the full checklist.
- Approve adjustments before scheduling. Check extra-time and accessibility procedures for the exact route, and confirm the duration in the appointment.
Buying a voucher is not always booking a seat. Establish how and when it must be redeemed, what country and exam it covers, and whether an appointment is available before your deadline. Keep the purchase terms and appointment confirmation together.
Common questions
Do I have to start with my national board?
A local board is a useful starting point, but you can also check an international provider’s licensed offering. If your country has no listed board, confirm that the provider accepts candidates in your location. A remote option does not remove eligibility or technical requirements.
Is the cheapest displayed price the best comparison?
Compare the same exam version, language and delivery method. A voucher, a scheduled exam and a course bundle can have different prices and terms. Country-specific fee records stay in the country guides; these provider pages explain how to get and assess a current quote.
Who should I contact after the exam?
Use the provider or board that arranged your exam for results and certificate questions. Use the appointment confirmation for delivery support. ISTQB’s exam FAQ directs result enquiries to the organizing board or provider; ISTQB.com cannot access candidate records.
