ISTQB exams with AT*SQA: booking guide
Follow AT*SQA’s voucher and scheduling process, and check the different rules for online and test center appointments.

Check the exact offering. International providers have member-board licensing relationships. Verify the provider in the official ISTQB directory, then confirm country, syllabus version, language and delivery availability before paying.
AT*SQA: provider and delivery roles
AT*SQA is the authorized exam provider for the American Software Testing Qualifications Board (ASTQB). Its ISTQB certification page offers international booking. ASTQB is the member board; AT*SQA handles the provider route. Kryterion/Webassessor supplies the delivery and technical-support channel.
AT*SQA offers both remotely proctored and test center exams. Confirm the exact exam, language, location eligibility and appointment in the current booking system. The catalogue also includes ASTQB and AT*SQA qualifications that are separate from ISTQB certifications.
Buy the voucher, then schedule
- Start from the official ISTQB catalogue. Match the exam name and version to your certification guide before selecting a purchase.
- Create or access your AT*SQA account, buy the correct exam voucher and save the code and confirmation.
- Follow the account’s exam-scheduling route into Webassessor. Select online or test center delivery, the correct exam variant, date and time zone, and redeem the voucher as instructed.
- Read the current exam instructions and run the required checks before exam day. Confirm the appointment rather than treating the purchase receipt as a reserved seat.
The exam instructions say vouchers must be used within 365 days, with no extension. Check the expiry attached to your purchase and allow time for appointment availability.
Extra time and online preparation
For eligible non-native English candidates, AT*SQA’s instructions identify extended-time exams by EXT in the title. Special accommodations must be requested at least one month ahead. For online exams, AT*SQA requires a personal computer with administrative access; follow its online exam preparation instructions before paying.
Our advice: check your ID name, approved duration and time zone in the final appointment. If you are unsure which variant to choose, ask the provider before scheduling. Do not send personal documents to ISTQB.com.
Fees, rescheduling and refunds
AT*SQA’s exam instructions distinguish more than 24 hours for online rescheduling from more than 72 hours for test center rescheduling. Changes inside the relevant window incur a late-change fee. Canceling an appointment does not itself issue a refund; refund enquiries must be made within 30 days of purchase.
Compare the current voucher price and retake terms with the USA guide and exam cost checklist. Optional extras or special retake offers should be checked for your exact purchase; they do not change the ISTQB syllabus or guarantee a pass.

For urgent technical trouble during an exam, AT*SQA directs candidates to Kryterion live support. For voucher, result or certificate questions, use AT*SQA’s official contact page. Keep your account email, candidate reference and exam date ready.
Keep the booking and result messages until your certificate is available. Public-register listing and provider-specific career services are separate choices: review the relevant consent and settings before opting in.
