How we handle reader information

Privacy notice

This notice explains how ISTQB.com handles correction reports, website requests and links to external services.

Updated October 6, 2026

Who to contact

ISTQB.com is responsible for the information submitted to this website. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. We are an independent exam-information website and do not handle exam bookings, payments or certificates.

Correction reports and emails

The correction form asks for your email address and message. Your name is optional. We use this information to check the reported issue, reply when needed and maintain the accuracy of our guides. Please do not send identity documents, payment details, passwords, certificate numbers or live exam questions.

The form sends the report by email. It is not configured to save a separate submission entry in WordPress, send it to a marketing service or add you to a mailing list. The correction mailbox is accessed by the people handling the website and its editorial reports.

How long we keep correction emails

We keep correction emails only as long as we need them to check your report and reply to you. We then remove them from the mailbox. If a report results in a published correction, we may keep a note of the factual change without your name, email address or private message.

The 30-day period applies to correction emails. Hosting backups and security logs have separate service settings and may not be removed at the same time as an active email. Contact us if you need help with deletion or want information about a particular report.

Hosting, email and security services

Namecheap provides our website hosting and email. Cloudflare provides the proxy and security services in front of the website. These services process information needed to deliver requests and protect the site, such as IP addresses, request times, browser information and security events. Namecheap also processes the emails sent through the correction form.

Service providers may process information on infrastructure in more than one country. Their own policies explain their service-level handling. See Namecheap privacy and service policies and Cloudflare privacy policy.

Cookies, fonts and search

WordPress uses cookies for administrator sign-in. Cloudflare may use cookies or security checks to manage traffic. You can control cookies through your browser, although blocking required cookies may affect sign-in or security checks.

The site currently loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to request those font files, which sends request information such as your IP address and browser details. See Google Fonts information for the service explanation.

Site search runs within WordPress. Search-query logging and IP-address logging in Relevanssi are disabled. The correction form has no form-analytics action enabled. These settings do not disable the technical logs used by the hosting and security services.

External links

Our guides link to ISTQB, member boards, exam providers and other official resources. Opening those links takes you to another website, whose privacy practices apply. We do not receive access to your provider account or booking details merely because you follow one of our links.

Your privacy requests

Email [email protected] to ask about information you have sent, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern. Tell us enough to identify the report, but do not include extra sensitive information. We may need to confirm that a request comes from the person concerned before acting on it.

Where applicable, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information, and to raise a concern with the relevant privacy authority. The rights available depend on the law that applies to your request.

Changes to this notice
