Editorial policy
How we check and update the guides
Our approach to sources, review dates, uncertainty and corrections.
Official facts and editorial guidance have different jobs
Exam facts come from the relevant official syllabus, exam rules, qualification page or dated transition announcement. Provider prices and appointment terms come from the organization offering that exact exam route.
Study routines, readiness checks and decision prompts are our editorial guidance. They are not presented as official requirements or guarantees of passing.
Our source order
- For assessment: the current syllabus and exam structure documents for the named qualification.
- For transitions: the specific current announcement or transition FAQ, including language deadlines.
- For local arrangements: the chosen provider’s current terms for the relevant delivery and package.
- For certificates: the issuing board or provider and the official certificate guidance.
If a general FAQ conflicts with a newer qualification-specific announcement, we check the more specific source and explain the discrepancy when it matters to a candidate.
What the review date means
A “checked” date records when the linked source was checked for the facts stated on that page. It is not a claim that the provider cannot change the information afterwards or that an independent second reviewer has audited it.
Before purchasing or changing an appointment, confirm the current terms directly with the provider. We link to current official resources rather than hosting unofficial copies of live exam materials.
Editorial policy for uncertain facts
When a consequential figure or requirement cannot be confirmed, we label it as needing confirmation and direct the reader to the relevant organization. We do not substitute a historic screenshot, another country’s price or a third-party claim.
Country guides identify the provider route. A price for one language, delivery method or package is not automatically applied to another.
Corrections and updates
Reports help us find outdated facts and broken links. Send the page address, the statement that needs checking and a source link if available.
For a known-wrong or credible report of a consequential fact (such as scoring, prerequisites, a retirement date or a fee), our target is to contain the issue within 24 hours, verify and correct it within two business days, and revise surrounding explanations within four weeks. These are editorial service targets. Some cases need confirmation from the source organization.
Substantive syllabus and transition updates are recorded in the change guide. Minor spelling and layout fixes do not need a separate entry.
